About Giveness
Giveness is an exciting and unique new service that helps nonprofit organizations and individuals unite to support philanthropic causes.
Giveness has developed a powerful Online Shopping System that generates incremental income for nonprofits whenever a supporter shops online through Giveness.
Online merchants who participate in the Giveness program pay a sales commission for each online purchase that an individual makes through one of Giveness’ unique online shopping tools.
During our beta period, Giveness will re-direct 100% of those commissions to the nonprofit that the consumer has selected to support.
The Giveness Mission
Our mission is to revolutionize fundraising by continued discovery, development and distribution of emerging technologies to individuals and organizations trying to make a positive change in their local and world wide communities.
History of Giveness
While actively participating in the fundraising activities for a close friend battling breast cancer in 2003, Giveness founder Richard Waldvogel conceptualized how emerging technologies might be applied to expand, simplify and revolutionize existing fundraising methodologies and practices. Development began, and with the assistance of the existing Giveness team, our model for the use of new fundraising tools was put into practice.
The concept behind the name Giveness can be defined as, “The quality or state of giving.”
Giveness LLC was established in October of 2006 and was launched to the public in March of 2007.
