About Richard Thomas Waldvogel

A little about me. I've been married to my best friend Susan for almost 8 years and together we have 2 great children. Our daughter is 4 and our son is 2. I was born and raised in Wausau, Wisconsin and currently reside near Boulder, Colorado.

Before I started working on Giveness fulltime, I was a software engineer for the last 13 years. I majored in Journalism but caught the internet bug in my last semester when I reported on the university library getting internet access. I watched as the librarian downloaded a 5k bitmap of a black widow spider from the Library of Congress using Mosaic. I've been enthralled with web technologies since.

My work on this site is inspired by Barbara Mix. She was a great friend, hilarious boss and wonderful mother. She was brave enough to laugh in the face of cancer and displayed a level of strength that is impossible for me to imagine.

Hey Rick, the site is looking awesome, very clean! Yeah, I was bummed I couldn't make it to the Halloween party this year, but I did get to see some pictures and it looked like a blast! Dude, your costume rocked!! Let's definitely get together soon...
